Abstract
Hypertension is one of the most significant medical and social problems in the modern world and is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, as well as the leading cause of death. Education at "schools" for patients with hypertension helps increase patient awareness of their condition, prevent risk factors and exacerbations, develop symptom self-management skills, and improve quality of life.
The guidelines contain general information about the disease, data on managing the "school" for patients with hypertension, recommended topics and content for classes, and tests to assess patient knowledge.
These guidelines are intended for specialists who meet the qualification requirements for health workers and pharmacists with secondary vocational education in General Medicine or Nursing, as well as for primary care physicians participating in "health" schools.
